Harry Gunson

Harry currently works as a technician in our IT Support Team, helping in the day to day operations across Castleford, Selby and primarily Wakefield. Throughout his role Harry massively enjoys the satisfaction of being an integral part of the systems that enable our staff and students achieve their highest potential. It’s this supportive and people-focused role that he truly loves and takes great pride in.

Always living locally, Harry has been a part of the Wakefield community throughout his life. Studying A-levels in English Literature and Spanish, plus a BTEC in IT sparked a passion for culture, learning and diversity. This can usually be seen with him in the kitchen cooking or deep in a cookbook feeding his enthusiasm for all things food.

Before starting at Wakefield College, almost two years ago, Harry had worked in retail and hospitality – usually at customer support level and has had work experience in the IT Department of Police Scotland.

The past almost two years has seen Harry thrive in the college environment and has helped to build his confidence and will continue to shape the direction of his career within education.
