Access to Nursing
Course Overview
Our Level 3 courses are designed to give learners the UCAS points needed to progress to university. The courses are fully online, where you can access the course materials and assessments 24 hours a day. The course takes 9-12 months to complete. Upon success completion of this course this will allow students to progress to different university courses including:

• Geriatric Nurse
• Nursing Home Nurse
• Community Nurse
• Theatre Nurse
• ICU Nurse
• Critical Care Nurse
• Cardiology Nurse
• Respiratory Nurse
• Mental Health Nurse
• Special Educational Needs Disability Nurse
What You Will Study
Throughout this course you study 19 units over different subject areas including Biology, Health Science and Psychology. Some of the units are:
Professional Behaviours: Nursing and Health Professionals
Perspectives in Psychology
Mental Health & Coping Strategies
Infection & Immunity
There is no on-site attendance required, though students are expected to undertake 10-15 hours study per week. With 1:1 tutorials available.
You will be assessed through a variety of different methods, including written essays, presentations and timed control assessments.
GCSE Math and English at Grade 4.
GCSE Science would be beneficial.
There is funding available for this course, subject to previous qualifications, if you are not eligible for funding the course can be funded via the Advanced Learner Loan.
Access to HE courses are designed to enable you, upon successfully completion, to progress to Higher Education.
