Level 2 Women’s Hairdressing (VRQ)
Course Overview
This programme is designed to equip learners with the knowledge required at all levels to start your career in Hairdressing. It offers an exciting range of units for you to study in our modern well-equipped salons, supported by our team of highly skilled, highly qualified tutors. This course will assist learners with confidence, communication skills and prepare them for working life.
What You Will Study
This study programme will cover a range of the topics and units at each level, some of which are listed below, including Health and Safety at all levels:
- Advise and Consult with Clients
- Shampoo and Condition Hair and Scalp
- Blow Dry and Style the Hair
- Cutting
- Colour and Lighten Hair
- Style Hair with Electrical Equipment
- Perm and Neutralise Hair
Practical assessment through observation of skills and oral questioning. Will need to produce a portfolio, undergo continual practical assessments, and complete continual online written testing for each unit.
5 GCSEs at Grade 9-3, including English or Maths.
OR
Successful completion of Level 1 Hair & Beauty.
On successful completion and with the required English and Maths grades you can progress through the levels.
My favourite parts of the course are colouring, cutting and being creative. It’s a nice feeling being able to make people look nice.
